Through her work, Alex has been able to partner with several science-based institutions to communicate research and conservation through visual storytelling. Her connection to Virginia Tech has afforded her the opportunity to photograph bat work in western Virginia and the National Capital Region. She also works as an assistant researcher and science communicator in the Center for Animal Human Relationships (CENTAUR) within the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine, working to create images that communicate CENTAUR's research and outreach projects.
